Technical Parameters

Complied with NFPA701-2015 standard, it is newly design technology of cross lapping spunlace fabric made from 55% pulp and 45% polyester synthetic fiber. Being breathable and tear-resistant, the flame-retardant pulp polyester spunlace proves to be an ideal fabric for making fire retardant coverall. It conforms easily and stays in place without slipping or sliding.

Types of flame retardants we can do with:

There are kinds of flame retardants, including halogen flame retardants, organic phosphorus and phosphorus-halogen flame retardants, intumescent flame retardants and inorganic flame retardants. At present, the most used halogen-based flame retardants are brominated flame retardants.

Polypropylene fiber is a synthetic fiber made from propylene. Its characteristics are: high strength, good wet and dry strength, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance.

Viscose fiber belongs to regenerated cellulose fiber, which has the characteristics of good moisture absorption, lower breaking strength than cotton, environmental protection, non-toxic, and higher price than other fibers.

Flame-retardant non-woven fabrics can be divided into flame-retardant needle cotton and flame-retardant hot-air cotton according to the process. Flame-retardant needle cotton is formed by tangling fibers after being punctured by a needle punching machine; flame-retardant hot-air cotton is mainly formed by hot air passing through the furnace after laying a net. Both products have their own characteristics. The common features are flame retardant, light, warm, durable, and environmentally friendly.

The testing standards include American CFR1633, British BS5852 and American TB117 standards.

Flame-retardant pulp polyester spunlace has flame-retardant and anti-melt dripping effects, and can effectively form a flame-retardant firewall.

What is the difference of the three standards?

① American CFR1633 test content: within the 30-minute test time, the maximum heat release peak of the mattress or mattress set shall not exceed 200 kilowatts (KW), and the total heat release must be less than 15 megawatts within the first 10 minutes of release

Uses: Mainly used in mattresses, cushions, sofas, seats and home textile products.

② British BS5852 main test standards: mainly test cigarette butts and use acetylene flame to simulate matches for testing, and look at the damage length. Basically, use a lighter to burn vertically on the textile surface for 20 seconds. The flame will automatically go out within 12 seconds after leaving the flame.

③ American 117 test content: cigarette test, the overfired part does not exceed 80%, the average burnt length does not exceed 3 inches, the maximum burnt length does not exceed 4 inches, the average burning time does not exceed 4 seconds, the longest burning time does not exceed 8 seconds, open flame The loss of combustion quality does not exceed 4%.
